Our philosophy

 

Sweet Studios (formerly Judith Fuge Dance Studios - est 1990) is brand new on the Kāpiti Coast in 2024. We are so honored to continue Judith Fuge’s incredible legacy. We run over 70 classes per week with a wide range of genres including Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre from Pre School age through to adults.

 

We pride ourselves in providing quality dance training with experienced, dedicated and passionate teachers, producing technical, strong and versatile dancers. Our classes are encouraging, confidence building, fresh and fun. Sweet Studios has an awesome family environment and we can’t wait for you to be a part of it!

Summer Holidays

Enjoy the sunshine! Our competition teams start rehearsals in the last week or two of the holidays to learn their dances for the new competition year.

Term 1

Classes commence, learning syllabus work or open work depending on your class

Competitions begin around March

Term 2

Dance classes continue

Performance team showcase at the end of Term 2

Term 3

Exam preparation begins

NZAMD and DNZM exams are held at the end of Term 3

Term 4

Show preparation begins

PACANZ competition in Palmerston North (24th – 27th October 2024)

NZAMD National Scholarship Awards

End of year show (early December) – a highlight of the year with all students involved
