We had our first senior show rehearsal on Sunday and it was so exciting to see it all come together.

Costumes are being handed out however if you don't receive yours please don't panic - we are still waiting on some costumes to arrive and we will let you know as soon as these are ready to be picked up. Costumes must be paid for before our first rehearsal please :) (some costs are still TBC and will be emailed out this week)

SHOW TIGHTS - JAZZ, TAP AND BALLET STUDENTS
Junior students don't require tan tights (unless you are told otherwise by your teacher).

Senior students will need tan tights for the show $15 (footed) - $25 (convertible - these have a hole at the bottom and they can pull up over your feet). If you are in multiple dances we highly recommend having the convertible tights so you can pull them up for contemporary etc. I am waiting on more convertible tights to arrive and will let you know when these are available.

Ballet tights - Rachel will let her classes know what they need.

Please also make sure you have the correct shoes and please clean them before our first rehearsal.

HIP HOP SHOES
Please check with your teacher regarding what colour shoes you need to wear (white or black)

Please make sure you have the following important dates noted down:

Dress rehearsals at TE RAUKURA KI KAPITI
Please be aware you can't enter the complex until 3.30pm so please arrive ready in your costume with your hair and make up done (or as ready as you can be if you are coming from school).

TUESDAY 10th DECEMBER - Dress rehearsal with costumes
3.45pm - 5.30pm (Junior Show - slightly extended)
5.30pm - 8pm (Senior Show)

THURSDAY 12th DECEMBER - Full dress rehearsal with hair and make up
3.45pm - 5.30pm (Junior Show - slightly extended)
5.30pm - 7.30pm (Senior Show)

Just so you are aware, no one is allowed in the theatre during rehearsals. You are welcome to drop your child and pick them up at the end (if they are old enough to be left alone), otherwise there will be plenty of space in the complex for you to wait for your child. You can leave after they have danced.

Wow - our Junior Shows are sold out!! I am aware a few of you missed out on tickets. I have a plan in place - can you please let me know if you have missed out (if you haven't already). Thanks!

There are limited tickets left for our Friday night Senior Show so get in quick if you would like to come along to watch.

We will be holding our annual Junior Christmas Party on Wednesday the 18th of December from 3.45pm - 5pm :) This is for our students aged 8 years and under. Please RSVP to Hannah or Sasha.

Starting in the new year, Sweet Studios will be expanding - I am pleased to announce that I will be taking over DAPA - Dreams Academy of Performing Arts, and we will combine to become one big Sweet Studios family!

More info was emailed on Saturday (if you missed this please let me know), and additional information will be emailed in due course. However I'm sure you will all join me in wishing Alicia and Tim all the very best for their next adventure, and thanking them for all that they have done for the Kapiti performing arts community. They have poured their heart and soul into DAPA, and I am honoured to continue their passion and hard work.
