All you need to know
Sweet Studios exam procedure
We are so excited for our 2024 NZAMD exam session. Our students work so hard throughout the year and we look forward to celebrating their successes!
Please be at the studio ONE HOUR before your exam. 45 minutes before hand is fine for Hip Hop.
Please make sure you are quiet when you arrive at the studios as exams will be in progress for the majority of the day.
UNIFORM
Please make sure you have the correct uniform and shoes required for your exam.
EXAM HAIR
Please see details below. We will have hairdressers at the studio to help with hair if you are unable to do it yourself. Please bring $15 cash and your own hair brush/comb. Unwashed hair is preferred please. We will supply everything else (hairspray, hair clips, hair ties, bun nets and ribbons.)

Exam hair
Jazz and Contemporary Hair
-
Hair is a centre part, with a French Plait on either side of the head. These plaits are then clipped up off the neck for Jazz, or left down for Contemporary.
Ballet hair

Pre Grades - space buns with a centre part

Grades 1-6 - a pulled back, mid height bun

​Intermediate - low bun with a centre part

Please use a bun net for all ballet buns
Hip Hop + Tap hair
